Turnaround times for export-related tests

Babesia

Babesia gibsoni serology and Babesia smear examinations performed at VETPATH are run on Monday (or the first working day of the week in the event of a Public Holiday Monday) and Thursday mornings with results faxed and emailed out to you later on those days. Hard copies are posted the next working day.

Leishmania

Leishmania spp. IFAT serology test is performed on Monday and Thursday with the results faxed out later that day.

Rabies

Rabies serology performed at BIOBEST usually has results available within 2 weeks from the samples being submitted by VETPATH. Note that samples are sent to the UK only on Mondays (or the first working day of the week in the event of a Public Holiday Monday).

Heartworm

Heartworm antigen tests and heartworm microfilaria concentrations are performed daily from Monday to Friday with results faxed and emailed out to you later on those days with hard copies posted the next working weekday.
